Skiing Birthday Cake

This is a 2 layered rich chocolate cake with a raspberry jam filling , carefully created to mimic a ski-slope scene with the number '70' made out of chocolate fingers to give off a rustic , winter-wonderland style. I  hand drew each of the skiers with cake pens onto little gingerbread men sprinkles. The trees were made out of twiglets and green candy melts which created a unique but surprisingly pleasing taste. Finally , I  finished it off with edible glitter to give the snow a nice glow.

I made this as a surprise for my grandads 70th birthday. About a week before his birthday , I messaged my Nana asking for any interests or dietary requirements to help me with the design\flavour of the cake. She told me that buttercream was too sweet for them and that they love watching skiing on TV which led to the raspberry jam filling and ski-slope design.

This would go into the 'Small Special Cake' category and would cost around £30+ . If you're curious about prices, you can go to the prices page of my website and it should answer any questions. Now please go ahead and look at some of my other masterpieces and see if you would like one of your own.
